![]() I mean, I may be saying this based soley off that one mission where you need to hold that building in Stalingrad that's encircled but. They glitch out easily, don't consistently respond to being shot from behind, block your path, etc. It may be a bit unfair because I played MOHAA contemporaneously and played COD a few years after its release (although have replayed MOHAA since), but for me the issue with COD is that even though having real squadmates (instead of a handful of guys who die right away in MOHAA) is cool for the most part, towards the business end of the game, particularly the Russian campaign, you rely on them to hold their own and their AI isn't really up to the task. I rate it way higher than COD 1 which seems out of the norm, but COD has aged badly imo compared to MOHAA. I don't think there's any other FPS I had so much fun with. The great thing is that each mission had something special to it, shooting up the airfield in North Africa, going undercover in the submarine base, Omaha beach, the sniper duel, the King Tiger, etc. Not many other games had been so tightly scripted (yeah, yeah, Half Life, but MOHAA was cooler to me) but the maps were open enough to make you think it wasn't as linear as it really was. MOHAA's probably in the mix with my favourite games, it was pretty amazing at the time of release. What did you guys think of this game ? Do you like it more or less than COD 1 and 2 ? I havent played the DLC levels yet because afer a while i got a bit tired of the game, so im gonna play some other games fiirst and then come back to play the DLC levels. I also found this game to be more difficult than COD 1,2 and 4. The game difficulty is pretty fair but i still used plenty of manual saves to avoid playing certain sections over and over and over. Some of my favourite levels include the D-Day level, the communication blackout, snipertown and more. ![]() This game doesn't have the variety of call of duty 1 or 2, I think you only play as an american soldier, and after a while you've seen everything the game has to offer. The soundtracks of call of duty 1 and 2 weren't bad, but i found the soundtrack of this game to be much more memorable and better. I love the soundtrack, it really adds a lot of atmosphere. ![]() The graphics don't look bad but the game doesn't look as good as COD 1, and some textures can look ugly when looked at at close range. I love the shooting, it is as good as it can be ! The sound effects are also great, but sadly there isn't much blood at all ! In fact, it might be my favourite shooter from 2002 or before ! (For the record, I've played doom (classic), half life 1 and 2, COD 1-2-4, postal 2, Batlfront 2 (classic) and far cry 3.)
